Why I Do What I Do...
My art practice has always been the primary route through which I connect with people and the world around me. From observing historical works in museums to conversing with fellow creatives, art serves as the lens that allows me to continually evolve my perspective. When I create, I'm not only producing art but establishing a deeper connection to the greater human experience through a process of constant growth and change.
The journey of creating art necessitates exploration and transformation. Art is my pathway to a life of endless learning and personal evolution. Each moment of trial and error, each experiment with new materials or techniques, propels me forward as an artist and an individual. My work reflects an enduring love of research, experimentation, and artistic exploration through the use of diverse media - from sketches and collages documenting my artistic process, to painting, pastels, screen printing and digital design.
My creative process is fluid and ever-changing, mirroring the importance of growth in my practice. Allowing myself to take risks, get messy and follow tangents before refining is key to producing work as layered and dynamic as the inspirations behind it. The continual evolution of process allows me to embrace my most authentic, exploratory self and ensure my art remains vibrantly alive.
