My name is Hallie Howard and I am an artist and maker originally from Mount Juliet, TN, now based in Savannah, GA. I studied Fibers at the Savannah College of Art and Design, but my passion for art began much earlier through extracurricular studies in middle school. Throughout my artistic career, I has always been fascinated with the power of art as a universal language; a way to connect with the world around me.

My current artistic focus lies in fine art utilizing fibers, print and pattern for surface design, and material manipulation. With a diverse background spanning from design and production for theater to various fine art disciplines, I prides myself on applying a wide lens of perspective to all my creative endeavors.

My work is ultimately driven by an examination of the connection between art and its audience. I aim to create interactive and engaging pieces that prompt the viewer's involvement. Utilizing experimental techniques and use of unexpected materials allow me to produce immersive works that pull the observer into the moment of an artistic experience. I am particularly interested in exploring unconventional materials like plastics and everyday, accessible objects within her fiber-based pieces. I am always striving to create moments of learning, play, and connection for myself and anyone who experiences my work.
